Mix & Matching Stamps and DSP

Stampin Up offers lots of beautiful “suites”, where stamps, paper and embellishments are all designed to work together. This, of course, results in absolutely stunning creations, but what about using them with other sets? There are dozens upon dozens of stamps in our catalogs that don’t come as a suite with paper and embellishments, or even dies. Today’s project shows off just one of the reasons I love Stampin Up, and stamping in general… the ideas from mixing and matching sets are absolutely endless! Very rarely do I ever stick to just one suite, or even set, when designing. My upline, the ever fantastic Erica Cerwin, recently showed us all on the team this project… but in bag form. I loved the combo so much I decided to “twist” it to make a card!

Stepping outside the Stampin Up Box

I’ve only been stamping for two years now, and when I first got into the hobby I knew about two companies – Stampin Up, and Unity Stamp Company. I was first drawn to Unity because of their stamps that seemed begging for me to color them with Copics ( a huge love for this art major). In the two years since, I’ve discovered more companies but constantly find myself using either SU, or Unity products the most. Every now and then, I step out of the “Stampin Up Demo Cave” and create with these products. I thought it would be fun to show how our Stampin Up supplies can work with other sets, and how it really helps to expand the possibilities of your craft room “stash”.
